Ed McKee and Karen Waltman created pie-tanza and opened the restaurant in Arlington, Virginia in 2005.
They wanted to create a neighborhood family favorite that would be a staple of their community. Ed and Karen believed a kid-friendly, affordable restaurant with quality food and caring service was needed in the neighborhood. The goal was to exceed their neighbor's expectations for a small local eatery. Located just outside Washington, D.C., pie-tanza offers dine-in, carry-out and catering.
